Nepal and Qatar sign eight agreements, excluding labour pact

Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as 'Prachanda', engaged in bilateral talks with Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad, the Amir of the State of Qatar. During the Qatari Amir's visit, Nepal signed a total of eight agreements, excluding the labour pact.
The agreement between Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and the visiting Amir of Qatar was signed after delegates from both countries held bilateral talks in Kathmandu.
The Amir held a one-on-one meeting with PM Dahal an hour before signing the agreements. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that during the delegation meeting, six agreements were signed between ministries and two agreements were signed between the private sectors.
A Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in the Fields of Culture and Arts was signed between the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal and the Ministry of Culture of the State of Qatar.
Qatar and Nepal also signed an agreement on the Cooperation and Exchange of News between the National News Agency, Nepal (RSS), and the Qatar News Agency (QNA).
Additionally, the MoU for Cooperation in the Field of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research was signed between the Government of Nepal and the Government of the State of Qatar, as confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Government of Nepal and the Government of the State of Qatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of youth and sports. Additionally, another Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation was signed between the Office of the Attorney General of Nepal and the Public Prosecution of the State of Qatar.
Qatar, an oil-rich Middle-Eastern nation, and Nepal, the Himalayan nation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Diplomatic Training and Education between the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA) of the Government of Nepal and the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
Furthermore, private bodies of the two nations agreed on the establishment of a Joint Business Council (JBC) between the Qatar Chamber and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI). The MoU between Qatar Chamber and FNCCI has also been renewed between the countries.
