French ambassador to India Thierry Mathou inaugurates 'Bureau de France' in Telangana

French Ambassador to India Thierry Mathou inaugurated the "Bureau de France" in Hyderabad, marking a significant development in India-France relations. The office, located at T-Hub, Raidurg, serves as the branch office of the Consulate General of France in Bengaluru, aiming to bolster cooperation between France and Telangana.
According to an official release the inauguration ceremony was attended by T-Hub Hyderabad CEO, French Consul General in Bangalore Thierry Berthelot, and Telangana Minister for Information and Technology D Sridhar Babu.
Thierry Mathou stated, "I am proud to inaugurate the Bureau de France in Hyderabad today," the French Ambassador to India. He expressed France's decision to expand its network in India as a sign of confidence in Indo-French ties. Mathou extended thanks to Indian partners, especially T-Hub and the Government of Telangana, for their contributions to making the inauguration possible.
He added, "The presence of the world's top two incubators in Hyderabad with T-Hub and in Paris with Station F is noteworthy. France being the first country to establish an office in T-Hub indicates the potential for collaboration and achievement by aligning our innovation ecosystems."
Mahankali Srinivas Rao, the CEO of T-Hub, emphasized the significance of the collaboration between France and Telangana in fostering innovation. "The inauguration of the Bureau de France in Hyderabad marks a pivotal moment for innovation and collaboration between our two regions," he stated.
Rao expressed excitement about the partnership and highlighted the potential for harnessing synergies between France and Telangana to unlock new opportunities and drive meaningful impact in the global innovation landscape.
The decision to establish a Bureau de France in Hyderabad and a Consulate General of India in Marseille was announced by President Emmanuel Macron of France and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India in Paris on July 14, 2023.
