Pakistan Zindabad...Hindu Hatao!
Even a month back, reiteration of this slogan certainly meant Jammu & Kashmir or those training camps where Pakistan sponsored terrorists' brainwashed local people in the name of religion and hate. Unfortunately, Dhulagarh, a town which is only 25 kilometers from Kolkata, is witnessing deadly riots and unfortunately, no national media has shown an honest interest in reaching out to the plight of riot victims. There appears to be some sort of fatwa to all media coverage regarding Dhulagarh riots. Three journalists from a media house when struggled their way amidst the chaos and thick air of betrayal and blasphemy, were charged with non-bailable arrest warrants. Time and again, there has been gross negligence from ruling government and scattered political opposition in Bengal political domain hasn't helped the situation either. The situation is still not under control and innocent people have no other option but to flee. Local police forces have been present throughout but their 'selective' choice of action has drawn flak from all quarters. The Islamisation of the bordering districts of Bengal seems to be never ending and the Dhulagarh episode is reminiscent of the fact that even Kolkata isn't far from being encroached by the hooligans and hoodlums who are waiting with their swords in the name of religion and hate amidst complete lawlessness.
It all started on December 12, the day celebrated as Fateha-Dwaz-Daham. After not being allowed to hold a religious procession, the whole incident turned violent and ultimately it reached communal proportions in no time. Although the state administration theoretically urged the DGP to take prompt action, the deployed police force remained as silent spectators in riot-stricken Dhulagarh. The angry rioters looted and torched homes and the available videos clearly suggest rioters were in control and the local administration has completely failed to reinstate peace. Dhulagarh is an important junction for being a truck terminal connecting highways and also a significant centre for MSME enterprises, is reeling under further incidents of violence. Although the Chief Minister of Bengal has said 'nothing has happened there’ political leaders of parties other than ruling TMC are not allowed to enter.
For the last few years, ever since the TMC government has come into power, communal clashes have become common and minority appeasement has reached its zenith in Bengal. The violent memories of Malda riots is still not a story of the past, rather what happened in Malda, is happening in most areas of Bengal. Whether Bengal will become a Banglastan in the days to come is a different issue, but religious divide in the name of vote bank politics has crippled Bengal immensely. A state where jobs are getting hard to obtain, colleges and universities have become center of political excellence and hatred, Bengal has become a pale shadow of its glorious past. The notorious Jamaat of Bangladesh, SIMI activists and ISI agents of Pakistan are trying wholeheartedly to make the most in the situation of utter chaos and lawlessness. Dhulagarh riots is not an isolated incident but a reminder that the beginning of the end has already begun for Bengal. When other states like Gujarat, Tamil Nadu are competing for making technological or IT hubs, Bengal, the land of Tagore, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee has slowly become the hate-hub of India.
