Renowned bollywood singer Anuradha Paudwal joins BJP

Anuradha Paudwal, a prominent Bollywood singer renowned for her renditions of bhajans, has officially joined the BJP just weeks before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Paudwal, known for her soulful and melodious voice, made her decision to align with the BJP public as the political landscape intensifies in anticipation of the national polls.
Paudwal expressed admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed her happiness in affiliating with the party under his leadership. She formally joined the BJP at the party's headquarters, where she participated in a joint press conference alongside BJP leaders.
"I am pleased to be aligning myself with a government that shares a profound association with Sanatan (Dharma). It is indeed a privilege for me to join the BJP today," expressed Paudwal.
When queried about her potential participation in the Lok Sabha elections, Paudwal stated that she is uncertain at the moment and will abide by any recommendation provided by the party.
The esteemed playback singer, previously honoured with the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award, formally became a member of the BJP in the presence of key party figures including national general secretary Arun Singh and chief spokesperson Anil Baluni.
Hours after Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh, Ajay Pratap Singh, announced his resignation from the party's primary membership, citing a lack of renomination by his party.
Earlier today, former BJP member A P Jithender Reddy, along with his son, made a switch to the Congress party in Telangana.
Paudwal's performance at the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya featured her rendition of a Ram Bhajan.
